The Torch travels

FRIDAY FOR FUTURE - 15 th March 2019

Our Secondary school girls from Farini protesting for the environment in the main square of the village.

An open air Science lesson in the main square.

After Greta Thunberg's speeches and protests, the schools in Italy decided to dedicate Friday 15th March to the Environment.

Our students walked to school and ate home-made food, asked shops to save energy....so the torch travelled around Farini to make people aware we need a change.

Polish donuts- the recipe

The students of Primary School no 15 in Opole prepared the traditional Polish donuts (in Polish: pączki). They are very popular on Fat Thursday, this year celebrated on 28th February.

PIEROGI (The Dumplings) - the traditional Polish dish

Our students would like to present the traditional Polish dish- the dumplings ( in Polish: pierogi).

In Poland you can taste "pierogi" with different fillings ( for example the dumplings with sour cabbage and mushrooms or the dumplings with meat) but the most popular dumplings are with baked potatoes and white cheese.  Enjoy!

Our ROOTS define us

Inspired by the title of our project R.O.O.T.S, the students of the 6th grade, we made portraits with the help of our art teacher Mrs Eugenia. The hair of the portraits is made with natural leaves that we gathered from the neighborhood of our school, while the lines of the neck refer to our roots. In this way we symbolized the view that what we are, our ideas, our perceptions and our views derive from our "roots", that is, from our origin, history, and tradition. 40th Primary School of Thessaloniki The students of the 6th grade

Goodbye Summer, goodbye ROOTS!
